Hey all (:I've got our recording for SIBF here. So please do take note the mistakes that we've made and improve on it okay!

Hi all,I hope everyone's prepared for tomorrow's competition(?)
MOST IMPORTANTLY, PLEASE, PLEASE DO LOOK AT MR WONG TOMORROW! STOP STARING AT YOUR SCORES!! VERY NICE MEHH!? Look out for tempo changes, etc. & please note the 5 rules as mentioned earlier.
DON'T GO ON STAGE WITH A BLANK MIND! THATS.. very dangerous.
DO put in your very best alright! Please don't disappoint mr wong once again, PLEASE. I'm sure you people won't want to regret only after performing, that's bad seriously. Why not give in your very best and don't regret.
Last of all, you got to enjoy your performance. BUT! Don't get to over enthu until you forget about the 5 golden rules. I'll test you people the 5 rules again tomorrow and make sure everyone remembers it clearly.
Before i end off, REMEMBER! DON'T BE SCAREDDDDDDDD! SLs, please make your your section members are feeling alright throughout the entire day :D

This goes to all current band memebers. (SLs to take extra note)Celestine mentioned all the points Mr Wong had said today. Please note that you need to understand them. I will be posting the details of them here (:
FIRSTLY, get your posture and the holding of your instrument correct.
1. AIR
- Inhale deeply & correctly at all points of phrasing esp slow movements.
- Exhale with good and focus speed & think far to project sound.
- This applies when playing soft. Only the quantity of air changes.
2. EYE CONTACT / LOOK AT CONDUCTOR
- Look up and not at your music score/stand.
a) For ensemble purpose
b) For better sound
3. SAME PARTS TO SOUND LIKE ONE / SAME PARTS, SOUND TOGETHER
- Starting of note 'Articulation'
- Ending of note ' Sound shape'
4. STARTING AND ENDING TOGETHER
- End of phrase (esp the release)
- Look at conductor
5. OPEN UP YOUR EARS ( choose to listen )
a) For Intonation purpose
b) For Balance ( of groups/ parts )
c) For Blend ( of groups/ parts )

To the flute sectionMr wong is thinking of planning an extra sectional on this thursday, anytime in the afternoon. Please sms Huixiu if you can make it on that day. SMS here ASAP.
There will be individual practise tmr. Attendance is complusory.

You people were really great (:
To all ensemble group performers, every single one of you did a really terrific job! Although you people might think that there were some mistakes here and there, but I know that all of you did your very best :D Great job!
Like what Mr Wong told us, he could hear and feel that all of you were doing your best to portray a musical performance. He would also like to thank those who had performed and the hard work that you'd put in.
Also, with all the SMILES (right?) and enthusiasm before and during the show, I can see that you people were enjoying and thats good (: Remember, certain lightness of heart seems healthier than nervousness on their behalf.

11 MORE DAYS TO SIBF COMPETITION!
I would really hope that the seniors can work tremendously hard like how you guys worked for syf last year. Although arts fest's over, we still have something very important to work hard on. So please do come for band practice often so that mr wong can work with us our merry widow and showdown.
HURRY! TIME IS RUNNING OUT FAST and we don't have much time left. So please, please, please make an effort to practice and we shall make mr wong be proud of us alright!
