Hello all! Tanjong Katong Band is having a concert. Everyone is welcomed! :) They got GOLD WITH HONOURS for Outdoor SYF this year and SILVER for Indoor SYF last year. It will be their final public event for the year, so do check them out. Their repertoire includes pieces like Mamma Mia, Deep Purple and more! So even though it is expensive, its for fund raising, plus you can check out how they play their pieces too. If interested, please inform me, Mutiara by tuesday. I'll be coming back on Tuesday so you can inform me and pass me the money then. If you want more information, just tag at the board or ask me :D

The band room will be open on Tuesday,
25 Nov 2008,
for all sections to work on the pieces before the exchange.
Please do turn up as this is the only chance
for us to work on our pieces before the exchange
on 15th dec! TIME IS REALLY RUNNING OUT!

I know some might think that I'm naggy,
but I must re-emphasize this to everyone.
Do make an effort to practice!
SLs, make an effort to oraganize sectionals somewhere,
be it parks, void decks or somebody's house.
And band members,
you can also take the initiative to organise sectionals
even though you're not the sectional leader.
As long as the section is improving as a WHOLE,
our band will also sound better.

15th december is just 23days away!

Westwood concert band will be doing some
fund raising for the Singapore Children's Society
tomorrow this afternoon at
Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza.

It's just 4 more months to SYF!
Time is running short,
SO PLEASE DO WORK HARD!

Also, please also be READY to give in our best on the
15th of dec when band resumes.
You people do not wish to sound bad during the
exchange with Hin Hwa right?
It would be damn embarrassing man.
SO DO MAKE AN EFFORT TO ORGANISE
SECTIONALS DURING THE LONG BREAK!

Ensemble pieces got to be ready by TOMORROW.
Jodie and I will meet up with the groups during
the holidays to listen to the groups.
BE READY BY THEN!

AND,
please memorise thunderer during the
looooooooong band break!
You have about a month or so to memorise.
So when band resumes,
we hope to hear all of you playing well
WITHOUT looking at the scores.

Last but not least,
maintenance day will be tomorrow.
After band practice,
all the sections which have not polished/checked all
their instruments today,
be it old instruments or the ones that you all are using,
all of you are to stay back to clean/polish/check
them all. Make sure everything is alright.

Reminder, reporting time tomorrow is 845am.
