Hi all, updates!

SIBF adjudicators comments & marks will be given to you guys on tuesday. Do listen out for morning announcement to meet.

Another reminder, for those who did not take back your instruments today, the band room will be open on tuesday SPECIALLY for these absentees, its a MUST for all to bring home your instruments. And please note ah, don't bring home any of your instruments just for SHOW alright! Do practice and improve on your personal skills. For seniors, please at least improve and not remain stagnant and for juniors, there's still a long way for you people to improve on MERRY WIDOW! Remember, get the notes and rhythm right first! If not how is mr wong going to improve us on other aspects?

Oh yes, just to make sure that the juniors practice, there will be a day after exams when both jodie and I will listen PERSONALLY to you people play merry widow one by one [how exciting!] We will judge according to these criterias:

Notes
Rhythm
Intonation
Effort/ hardwork
The no.of times you people bug your seniors to teach

The seniors are to make sure that they are able to accomplish them. The best efforts being seen will be awarded fantastic prizessss for both seniors and juniors :) Not just pencils and erasers. okayyy!

So for percussion and horn section, it will be much easier for you people cause there's only ONE junior to teach with the help of SOOO MANY seniors. So we expect MORE from you all (:

And yes sidetrack, a note for clarinet section (: [for some who ONLY visits band blog] hahaha. Journal writing will be a must for you all during the long break. Journal must include: What time you started practicing, basic elements that you've practiced, pieces that you've gone through (please state the bars), and what time you ended practice. EHHH, NOT GIVING PRESSURE.. BUT I LOVE YOU PEOPLE! HAHAHAHAHA.

And oh yessss, SLs for whatever announcements you have for your section, feel free to announce them on the band blog. User and password can get it from me, just drop me an SMS or ask me :D Please do MAKE THE BAND BLOG ALIVEEEE, I can tell its like quite so-not-active (except for some enthu people who tags everyday, haha good job! EH, but must study also.)

So that's all I guess, and all the best for your end of year examinations. STUDY and PRACTICE HARD at the same time! If juniors are having problems with studies, do approach your seniors for help. Your SLs have arranged a buddy for each already by now, study together and its the best time to clarify your doubts! ALL THE BEST P-E-O-P-L-E!

in collaboration with Temasek Informatics and IT School, Temasek Polytechnic

PRESS PLAY!

Temasek Polytechnic Convention Centre (TPCC), 7pm

Tickets: $12.50 ($5 only with TOTE BOARD Arts Grant, pending approval from NAC)

For the past three months, students from the Temasek Informatics and IT School have been hard at work to create on-screen animation / flash presentations, which will be presented along on a big projector screen with the music being performed at the same time - thus enhancing your concert-going experience! This will add another dimension in your enjoyment of standard repertoire for the band.
